Middleton Wins Major Endorsement of Retiring HD111 Representative Floyd Breeland
Charleston, SC - Representative Floyd Breeland, the current State Representative for SC House District 111, announced his support today for Clay Middleton.
During his 16 years in the South Carolina House of Representatives, Representative Breeland delivered the highest quality of constituent service to the residents of House District 111. Prior to his time in the legislature, Breeland served as a teacher, administrator, and principal in the Charleston County Public School system.
In referencing Clay, Representative Breeland stated, "Clay will make a great Member of the Legislature. Here is a young man who grew up in Bayside Manor and through the love and support of his family graduate from both Burke High School and The Citadel. Later, he went on to serve his country and state as an officer in Iraq, and now works for one of the most powerful men in the nation, the Majority Whip of the U.S. House of Representatives Jim Clyburn. Clay is a great example for young people to see what hard work and perseverance will get you in life. It is our job as a community to continue to support Clay and this next generation of leadership. I believe he will serve the people of House District 111 and our state well."
"I am humbled and honored to earn the support of Representative Breeland," Middleton said. "Representative Breeland has been a distinguished statesman and strong advocate for improving public education, taking care of seniors and veterans, and standing up for working families. If elected, I vow to continue the fight for improving education for our children, provide better-paying jobs, and to protect our seniors. I hope that my campaign can serve as a model for other young men and women in Charleston that they can do anything they want in life if they work hard and stay committed to serve."
